- Ulraman Australia (13-15 May)
Join the ultimate challenge down under as Ultraman returns to Noosa for 3 days of incredible feats of endurance through the beautiful waters and hinterland of the Noosa region. Competitors complete a 10km swim, 420km bike ride and 84.4km run against a backdrop of Noosa's Laguna Bay, Noosa National Park and hinterland.
- Noosa Food and Wine Festival (18-21 May)
Discover new flavours and great Australian wines at Noosa Food & Wine 2017, with some of Australia's best chefs in beautiful beach, river and hinterland locations.This year's event has three Festival villages - The Junction, The Beach and The Woods where you can meet some of the best chefs from around Australia, showcasing some of the country's finest produce. Joining them will be more than 40 of Australia's best wine makers. The Woods Wine and Produce Village is new to the event and will be open on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday with entertainment and space to relax and sample exceptional local produce, charcuterie and cheese from across Australia.
- Noosa Busking Championships (10-11 June)
See musicians performing in the Australian National Busking Championships regional finals, being held in Noosa for the first time.Busking heats will be held along Gympie Tce, Noosaville, near the Noosa River foreshore on Saturday 10 June from 9am to 5pm. The finals concert will be held as part of the Noosa Come Together Festival on the River Stage on Sunday 11 June.Musicians including solo performers, choirs, ensembles, junior and senior school groups and others will perform at selected sites along the Noosa River in 20-minute spots. There will also be international food, kids entertainment, water activities, dancing and more street fun.Roaming judges and people's choice busker dollars will be used to determine three finalists who will perform at the Noosa Come Together Festival.The Noosa Busking Championships are part of a nationwide cultural celebration of music and street performance with five regional competitions around Australian in 2017
Author and award-winning actor William McInnes (pictured) will join conservationist Bob Irwin and singer Jeunae Rogers at Behind Queensland’s Words, Noosa’s 2017 Writer’s Festival and Queensland Day celebration on 10 June 2017.The event is the final of this five-day celebration of Queensland.William McInnes’s witty insights on Australian life have earned him a reputation as one of the nation’s most popular writers. Bob Irwin, a passionate conservationist, will introduce the audience to special guests from the reptile world as he chats about his book.Whether you’re an adult interested in conservation, a child with a love of animals or a teenager who grew up watching Steve Irwin, his father, Bob, is a must-see. Black Mountain musician Jeunae Rogers will entertain with her mellow mix of soul, jazz and folk music, inspired by the local area.A Pop-up Book Shop at Noosa Library will be a place where authors will meet and chat with the public and network with other authors. Zane Hacker, Shelley Davidow, Emily Larkin, Andrew King and Ian Mansfield are among the local authors confirmed.
