Noosa International Ruby 7's (12-14 October)
At the dolphins Rugby Club - Sunshine Beach. See great rugby action as more than 100 teams from around Australia and overseas compete in more than 200 matches at the Noosa International Rugby 7s Festival. There's elite men's and women's competition, social 7s, U18s and juniors. Also enjoy the Noosa 7s Beerfest with an Oktoberfest theme, open on the Friday from 5-10.30pm, Saturday from 11am-11pm and Sunday from 11am-10pm featuring brews from local micro-breweries. The Oktoberfest party band, Sneaky Schnitzel performs on the Friday from 6-9pm and Saturday 6-9pm.
Moonlight over the Marina (25 October)
Dine on the Noosa Marina deck under the full moon and enjoy a three-course meal from one of four participating restaurants, with music and dancing.
Choose to dine at one of the four participating restaurants: Riverdeck Restaurant ($90pp), Italian Marina Restaurant & Pizza ($80pp), Cafe VinCino ($80pp) or Noosa Harbour Fish Market and Noosa Amore Gelato ($55pp). Local school orchestras, musicians and bands will perform on the ferry deck, moored in the marina, and there'll be dancing on the Marina boardwalk. A silent auction with a great range of items will be conducted through the evening, raising funds for Noosa's school chaplaincy program.
Noosa International Film Festival (25-28 October)
The Noosa International Film Festival screens new release Australian and international feature length films and high quality short films, and stages inspirational workshops and talks with leading industry experts – all set in the beautiful backdrop of Noosa.
Noosa Tiathlon Multi sport Festival (31 October - 4 November)
Noosa Triathlon Multi Sport Festival is five-day event that celebrates sports, healthy lifestyles, fitness and fun in one of Australia's favourite holiday destinations. Noosa is the largest Olympic distance triathlon in the world - and Australia's favourite finish line party! With a swim starting off beautiful and calm Noosa Main Beach, a ride that takes in the scenery of the Noosa hinterland and a run that soaks up the riverside atmosphere, make sure you pack your runners and be part of it. Or just join in the many social activities - there's something for everyone.
Noosa Hill Climb (9 - 11 November)
The Noosa Hill Climb is one of Australia's premier hill climb events, taking drivers over the uphill course with 14 corners winding through Tewantin National Park, just 15 minutes from Noosa Heads. The marque of the Summer Challenge event is Historic and Sports Cars and there will be plenty of thrills and spills to entertain everyone, with all types of cars including touring, racing, sports, classic and hill climb specials. See models such as the Skelta, XU1s, Minis, Fiats, GTs and Jags. Spectators can get up close to the cars with free pit access, and there are plenty of great viewing spots to see all the action, including grandstand seating at the most spectacular corners. The hill climb racing is on Saturday and Sunday 10-11 November 2018. A shuttle bus will be available to take spectators up and down the track for easy access to all vantage points. Catering available. See the cars before they race at the street parade along Hastings Street, Noosa Heads on Friday 9 November from 3.30-4.30pm.
Hasting St Christmas Tree lighting (30 November)
Come and see the Hastings Street Christmas tree light up for the festive season. There will be small presents for the children, street performers, a visit by Santa and a Christmas pantomime in the Noosa Heads Surf Club car park after the tree lighting from 5.30pm.
