Join the Managers and their family when they walk along the beach by moonlight as it rises over the ocean spreading a shimmering reflection from the horizon to the sand. On this walk a variety of crabs can be seen as they dart from their holes to scavenge the sand. During turtle nesting season a mother turtle may be observed in silence as she undertakes the arduous task of digging a hole much larger than herself in the sand and laying her eggs, or perhaps later in the season when the hatchlings emerge their journey to the sea can be experienced. As the whales migrate past, if the ocean is calm a slapping sound is sometimes heard, which we have noticed is made by their tails hitting the ocean surface repeatedly, perhaps to call or warn their calf.
