Did you know the first tennis championships were played at Wimbeldon in London in 1877 with the first Australian Open held in Melbourne in 1905? We may never hold an equally prestigious event here at the Retreat Beach Houses only due to a lack of seating of course, but we do offer guests the opportunity to play on an international standard all weather surface with lovely filtered ocean views, delightful cooling sea breezes and the relaxed friendly atmosphere that sets The Retreat Beach Houses apart.
So come and join us to practice your serve, backhand, forehand and volley, challenge your friends, family, fellow guests and your host. There is no cost for court use and racquets and balls are also available to guests free of charge.
After your game visit the expanding free DVD library featuring classics and new releases to borrow Woody Allens Match Point (2005) which features a love affair between a former tennis pro ( Jonathan Meyers) who falls in love with his best friend’s fiance, (Scarlett Johansson).
