Hike Noosa National park

Noosa National Park

Noosa National Park

is an Australian Icon just North of The Retreat Beach Houses which offers unique beacfront self contained accommodation in the Noosa region.  A hike through noosa national park stimulates the senses with a variety of vegetation including rainforest, tangle wood, Banksia, Pandanus and coastal bush – ideally situated right in the heart of Noosa.  Guests staying in self contained accommodation at the resort often access this amazing area of conservation which is home to many species of wildlife and the most picturesque seascape.

Following the coastal walking track

you will discover Tea Tree bay which is often a surfers haven, waiting to catch the ideal wave, and at other time so splendidly calm and deserted, visitors imagine they are miles from suburbia, when in fact they are only a few minutes walk into the hub of Hastings St, Noosa. It is hard to take a bad photo through the pandanus palms creating dappled light to tranquil vistas across Laguna Bay.

Granite bay

has a large granite pebble beach, with spectacular glassy waters. Dolphin point, as the name suggests is home to families of dolphins and often giant sea turtles can be seen in the crystal clear water.

Hells Gate and Devils kitchen

have spectacular cliff faces where Osprey and Sea Eagles hunt. Between May and September Humpback whales are easily spotted as they travel North then South on their annual migration for calving in the warmer waters!

On the Sunshine Beach side of the park is Alexandria Bay

– absolutely beautiful! The Noosa National Park is easily accessed from The Retreat Beach Houses by foot (for walking enthusiast), by bus directly out the front of the resort or by car.
