Fish and Chips in Peregian
For the beachside favourite meal of fish and chips, Peregian has 4 choices!
Peregian Beach Village, just 2 km south of The Retreat Beach Houses, 12 km south of Noosa and 6kms north of Coolum, is a quaint seaside village with an amazing range of boutique shops and restaurants.
The Captains Daughter,
serves all the classics and has bar tables in the courtyard with a fabulous bar of wines, beers and spirts. The atmosphere is fun and is a bit of a locals hangout after work on the corner of the Village green – kids are often playing in the trees!
Pitchfork Restaurant,
has a seasonal menu which includes a variety of seafood options as well as the good old fashioned fish and chips! Although it’s pretty hard to choose fish and chips when all the other menu options are so good! You really need to leave room for desert or perhaps an Affogato with house made icecream! Dine-in or takeaway available.
The Peregain Beach Hotel (PBH),
serves a great portion of beer battered fish and chips. The PBH has Lotus Root and Sweet potato chips – you can swap out the standard chips for the sweet ones. The dining area and bar are busy with a community vibe especially when live music is playing. Dine-in or takeaway for a treat on the beach or back at The Retreat Beach Houses on the deck.
Periwinkle Restaurant,
just across from Pitchfork serve a tasty french version of fish and the chips are called Pomme allumettes!
So that’s 4 nights worth of fish and chips! And if you need more just ask Dan or Nora at The Retreat Beach Houses.
